LLF offers hands-on experiential skill development programs to “train the trainers.” and provide adults with creative ways to teach, guide, enjoy inspire young children.

Parents,  teachers, out-of school time providers, volunteers, and mentors explore everyday objects and environments with an eye toward engaging children in discovery-based learning.  Adults  awaken their own creativity.  Three core skills permeate LLF skill development programs:

  • Visual Literacy: Learning through looking
  • Inquiry Strategies: Using good questions
  • Using Community Resources: Connecting home, school, and community learning

Programs for professionals range from multi-day institutes to half day and full day enrichment programs focused on one of the three major skills: visual literacy, inquiry strategies, or Using Community Resources.
