LLF materials support adults as they learn to use the neighborhood and other local resources to engage children in discovery-based learning. Resource guides and lesson plans support professionals and help them make lesson plans interactive. Family materials for home and community use support parents directly and are appropriate for all LLF programs.

LLF has created a series of universal photo boards which bring the community into the classroom. We encourage partners to expand on the generic posters by inviting parents to photograph neighborhood buildings, landmarks, and outdoor spaces to create classroom materials for their children.

The Washington, DC Family Guide to Museums now out of print, sets a format for profiling community resources to meet the needs of parents with young children. On contract LLF will customize Family Guides for your community, and/or provide technical assistance to help partners through the process.
