LLF’s Learning Model: It’s as easy as 1 – 2 – 3.
1. Gather information
Using visual vocabulary to make making meaning from visual clues like line, shape, color, pattern, texture, and illusion, adults and children sharpen their observation skills.
2. Compare and contrast what you see with what you already know
Building on “what you already know” makes it possible for people of every level of academic achievement, every age, and every culture to have something valuable to contribute. LLF teaches inquiry skills to help adults understand and use open ended questions.
3. Develop opinions and share ideas
Starting an interesting conversation depends on expressing interpretations and drawing conclusions based on evidence: what you see and what you already know. The process is closely related to the scientific method and introduces children to critical thinking and deductive reasoning.
