About Us

Dedicated to parent and community involvement in early childhood education

Linking formal (school-based) and informal (home and community-based) learning.

Watch the video below to preview LLF's approach.

LLF believes

  • Every parent wants better for their children than they themselves have experienced.
  • Successful education involves both formal and informal education.
  • Everyday objects and environments are valuable experiential learning tools in school, at home, and in the community.
  • Honoring parents for what they do is an important family engagement strategy.

LLF’s mission is to promote school readiness for young children (ages 0 – 8)

To achieve its mission LLF designs, tests and disseminates programs that celebrate parents’ strengths and teaches parents and teachers how to leverage their own creativity to nurture children’s growth and love of learning.

LLF’s work is research based and integrates brain research on the centrality of language development to learning, with knowledge from the fields of early childhood, adult, and museum education and developmental psychology.
